Switzerland presents its interpretation of the World Expo 2010’s main theme “Better City, Better Life” with the official Swiss Pavilion 2010. Known as „Nature’s Playground,” the pavilion is an architectural masterpiece committed to the Expo sub-theme “rural-urban interaction.” Switzerland – mountainous country in the heart of Europe – has extensive experience in protecting and conserving its natural heritage while simultaneously improving living conditions in its cities. Urban and alpine areas are necessarily interdependent in Switzerland and the country has, due to these geographical characteristics, developed into a knowledge-based society.
